Sweet Dream for the country, Worst Nightmare for John McCain, Barack Obama chooses Republican Senator Chuck Hagel as his V.P.
Republican Chuck Hagel had this to say this week about whether he would accept it if Democrat Barack Obama offered him the VP slot.
“If it would occur, I would have to think about it. I think anybody, anybody would have to consider it. Doesn’t mean you’d do it, doesn’t mean you’d accept it, could be too many gaps there, but you’d have to consider it, I mean, it’s the only thing you could do. Why wouldn’t you?
What this country is going to have to do is come together next year, and the next president is going to have to bring this country together to govern with some consensus.”
Wow. Barack would win over some Ron Paul folks for sure with Hagel on the ticket. I would probably be voting for Hagel if he had only ran for the Republican nomination. Can you even begin to imagine how much more of an attractive candidate Hagel would have been compared to Senator Magoo, John McCain? Should McCain kick the proverbial bucket before the election, I would love to see them put Hagel on the ticket.
