Supreme Court Rules on Guantanamo … Again! President Bush just trying to run the clock out.
The Supreme Court once again ruled that Guantanamo detainees have rights under the constitution. I get the distinct impression that President Bush is trying to run out the clock on this one. Are there some innocent folks stuck in Gitmo? Probably, who knows. By releasing any of these guys, you run the risk of that person being involved in some future plot. No one wants to be the one to let a real bad guy go. Like so many other messes created by this administration, the President is just trying to run out the clock and get the hell out of Dodge.
The sooner President Bush gets back to clearing brush in TX, the better. President Bush will not be starting any “brushfires of freedom”. Maybe a plain old Texas brushfire, but it is clear to most that President Bush flat out failed at his pledged duty to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the sooner he is gone, the better.
