Ron Paul - When the American people wake up, we will have the only coherent solution
I love this line from a recent Ron Paul campaign email …
“As you know, and as our neocon enemies try to cover up, we are in a financial crisis. It may chug along at this pace, slowly into recession, or it might drop off a cliff, like the dollar. In that case, we will have the only coherent solution, and we must get our message out.” - Ron Paul 1/10/2008

Basically, Dr. Paul is saying, when we finally do go broke and no shell game will hide it any longer, returning to the Constitution is the only real solution to save the nation. When we can no longer afford to have 30,000 troops left in South Korea 50 years after the war, when we can no longer afford to pay out on all of the Medicare, Social Insecurity, gazillion other liberty robbing programs, the American people will be forced to wake up and see that they really didn’t have any choices all this time. The two parties were merely brand names for the special interest groups that own Washington D.C. There will come a time when this madness will end, one way or another.
I love Dave Ramsey and while he doesn’t have an open mind about Ron Paul’s ideas, they perfectly jive with his philosophy of avoiding debt. He tells people all the time that they are going to lose their house or other asset one way or another. If they stay in denial, the bank will take it from them, so the decision will be made one way or another, with or without their consent.
Once the nation wakes up and can no longer deny the incredible hole the Democrats and the Republicans have dug for us, the only solution will be to throw all of the bums out and replace them with people who believe in following the constitution. We will be forced to stop policing the world, end the so called War on Drugs, make drastic cuts to federal programs. Think about it, what will happen when the government could take every single cent you earn and still not be able to meet the obligations over promised to its citizens?
If nothing else, all of the Ron Paul groupies still around at this time can move to some state and leave the Union. No other candidate is serious about shaking up the system and returning to the Constitution.
